Merry Merry

as you can imagine this was a very special Christmas. we have so much to be thankful for. we spent this Christmas at our house and both sets of grandparents joined us. we had a few "firsts"... first bottle, first rollover, first change in diaper size, and first 4 hour sleep stint. all before his 3 week birthday. i cried when nana gave him his first bottle. i guess my hormones are still adjusting. he gulped down 3 oz with ease. we hope your holidays were as blessed as ours.

2 weeks old

we have had an exciting week. max is now 2 weeks old and we had our first drs appt. our little guy is now 8lbs 8oz so he is eating well and growing. along with eating well comes serious diapers. i laughed until i cried this week when ryan handed over max and said "this diaper is out of my league". ryan has been even better than i ever could have imagined. i love him more everyday watching how great of a father he already is. he gives max his bath every evening and turns the heater on in the bathroom along with the hot shower just to make sure our little guy doesn't get cold. it melts my heart.

here we go... my first blog post. please excuse the misspelled words and run on sentences. this is an attempt to journal about the most wonderful new blessing in our family. max ryan mccorkle was born on december 7th 2009 at 6:35pm. at birth he was 8lbs and 21in. i have no words to describe this miracle god has given us. thank you to all of our friends and family for your love and support. we feel truly blessed.
